About Home Compostable & Biodegradable Nespresso® Pods
Unlike pods labelled only 'industrial compostable' — which need a commercial plant most UK councils don't collect — Torrié's home-compostable Nespresso®-compatible pods are certified to break down in an ordinary home compost bin or garden. Pop the whole used pod, coffee grounds and all, into your food-waste caddy. Inside every capsule is the same coffee roasted in Portugal for a rich, full-bodied shot, in packs of 10 and available across classic, intense, mild and decaf. Build a subscription, save up to 20%, and enjoy great coffee with none of the plastic guilt.
Frequently asked questions
Are these pods really home compostable?
Yes — they're certified to break down in a home compost bin or garden, not just an industrial facility. Put the whole used pod in your food-waste caddy or compost.
What's the difference between home and industrial compostable?
Industrial compostable pods need the high heat of a commercial plant, which most UK councils don't collect — so they often end up in landfill. Home compostable pods break down in ordinary home conditions.
Do they still taste as good as normal pods?
Yes. The capsule is greener, but the coffee inside is the same Portugal-roasted blend, available in classic, intense, mild and decaf.
Which machines do they fit?
Nespresso® OriginalLine machines. Torrié is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nespresso®.
